Hubway Stone works with natural stone as both a material and an architectural medium. We source and develop marble, travertine, limestone, onyx, quartzite, granite, and other natural stones for custom pieces and architectural applications.
Our work ranges from sculptural bathtubs, sinks, fountains, furniture, and fireplaces to bespoke elements developed specifically for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. We collaborate with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, and project teams to translate ideas, drawings, and material concepts into finished stone.
Natural Stone at the Center
Natural stone is never completely uniform. Every block carries its own geological history through variations in color, veining, texture, mineral composition, pores, and movement.
Rather than treating these characteristics as imperfections to be eliminated, we consider them part of the design process. Material selection begins with understanding how a particular stone will behave visually and physically within the intended application.
A quiet limestone may become part of an architectural interior where continuity matters. Expressive marble can define a single sculptural object. Travertine brings warmth, depth, and tactile character to both interior and exterior environments.
The material is not simply applied to a design. In many projects, it helps define the design itself.
From Source to Finished Piece
Hubway Stone works across a network of natural stone sources and specialized fabrication capabilities. This allows each project to be approached according to its individual requirements rather than limited to a fixed collection of materials or standard dimensions.
Some projects begin with an existing Hubway Stone piece that is adapted in size, stone, or finish. Others begin with an architect’s drawing, a designer’s sketch, a reference image, or simply an idea that needs to be developed further.
Material availability, dimensions, fabrication methods, structural considerations, finish, transportation, and installation requirements are evaluated as the project develops.
Our role is to help connect these elements into a practical path from concept to finished stone.
Made for the Project
Custom work is an important part of Hubway Stone.
Dimensions can be developed around a particular space. Materials can be selected to complement an architectural palette. Details and finishes can be adjusted according to the intended application. For larger projects, multiple pieces can be developed as part of a coordinated material and design program.
This approach is particularly relevant to residential architecture, hospitality, landscape design, and interiors where standard products cannot fully respond to the project.
The objective is not customization for its own sake. It is to create stone elements that feel considered in relation to the architecture around them.

The strongest projects often develop through dialogue between material, design, and fabrication.
We welcome involvement from architects and designers throughout the development process and can work from technical documentation as well as early-stage concepts. Depending on the project, this may include material selection, dimensional development, fabrication considerations, samples, drawings, production updates, and logistics coordination.
